A washing machine is located in the laundry room situated opposite the kitchen in the main bathroom block.
Please complete the form below and follow the instructions beneath. The cost is 6€ for a 15kg wash load if you supply your own washing product: 7€ if you use ours. There is no drier as there is usually plenty of sunshine and wind. The cost of the wash and any products supplied will be added to your bill.
How the system works:
- Sort your laundry into loads (maximum 15kg per load)
- Make sure to place your wash product(s) at the top of the wash load
- Place your laundry bag or basket next to the laundry room door
- Complete the Laundry Request Form (there’s a QR code on the door)
- Your laundry will be put into the washing machine when it’s free
- Once completed your laundry will be placed outside the laundry room door
- You will receive a text telling you the laundry is available for collection
Please Note:
- The washing machine can only be operated by a member of staff
- The maximum load is 15kg
- Heavy items: sleeping bags, large blankets, duvets etc should be washed as a separate load
- Ensure there are no foreign objects in the wash load such as: coins, stones, small toys, children or pets
- It is your responsibility to ensure wash items are compatible with the washing settings selected in the request form
- The camping cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to items in a load. We will take all reasonable precautions but we do not claim to be a professional laundry service.
The first wash of the day is usually around 09:00 and the last 16:00.
It’s also possible to have your laundry washed overnight as the machine has a timer. You need to ask if this is possible. Your laundry will be available for collection after 09:00 the following morning.
A full wash at 40ºC usually takes around 1:15. A 60ºC wash takes approximately 1:45. At 95ºC it’s 2hrs. These estimates depend on the size of the load and if it’s balanced.
