Modern Bathrooms with hot showers, toilets and wash basins
The main bathrooms have hot and cold running water to the showers and wash basins. Hot water comes from a central location and should be available 24/7. There are also toilets and urinals as appropriate. The bathroom facilities are intended for personal ablutions only. The washing of clothes should be done elsewhere.
A block of ten showers is adjacent to the main bathrooms. There are also cubicles with a WC and some with WC and shower.
The larger cabins are equipped with WC, shower and handbasin.
Some of the two-room cabins for four people have separate, private shower and toilet nearby.
By the main beach gate are cold showers for washing off the sand and salt after a swim.
You can cook in our customer kitchen where there is a large fridge and sinks. You can enjoy your meal in the nearby seating area, by your tent, in your van or accommodation. You can also use the customer barbecue near the kitchen. Fires or barbecues are not permitted in any other location in or around the camping.
The camping has its own bar and restaurant* where you can be sure of a tasty snack, freshly-prepared meal or refreshing beverage. The bar is open from early morning until late. The restaurant serves meals from 13:00 – 22:00 * (Mid-May – September)
Grocery Shopping
A minimarket* is located adjacent to the reception office for the basics. Fresh bread is delivered daily and can be pre-ordered from the reception. * (Only available July – Septermber)
Supermarkets are nearby in Kountoura (1km) or Paleochora (4.5km). Open Monday to Saturday* from 08:30 until 18:00 in winter *(Monday to Sunday, April – November 07:30 – 21:00). A bakery is approximately 1.5km from the camping, turning left at the gate. Open every day for bread, pastries and cakes. There are also local bars and restaurants within walking distance. Local restaurants close late October/early November usually until after Orthodox Easter. Meals and snacks may be available from cafeterias in Kountoura all year. These are frequented by the local workforce so do not expect Cordon Bleu or an extensive menu! Some Paleochora restaurants offer a take out service for hot food. This can be ordered by phone or online, delivered to the camping for a small fee or you can collect.
There is a modern, 15kg washing machine. Please ask a member of staff to assist you.
An open, guest WiFi service is available throughout the majority of the camping to enable customers to check their email and social media.
Community Room
There is a community room with comfortable chairs, a wood burning stove and air conditioning. This space can be used by families, groups or individuals and offers our guests somewhere to meet up with others, sit during dark winter evenings or when the weather is less than optimal.
The room is available to all customers at the camping and can be used for reading, working, exercising, relaxing, listening to music, cooking a pizza in the stove, watching a film or just sitting quietly for contemplative meditation.
The room is intended to be used by all for the benefit of all. We trust our customers to respect the wishes of others and to take care of the facility leaving it clean and tidy for the next person.
